It is with great sorrow that the family announces the sudden passing of our dear Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother, Anna Franceschini, 68 years, on Monday, July 13, 2009. Anna was born on September 30, 1940 in Francavilla al Mare, Italy to Vincenzo and Maria Antonucci. Mom came to Canada to marry her fiancée Narciso and they were married November 10, 1962 at St. Basil's Church in White River, Ontario. Together they raised four children. Mom was a very hard worker both at home and at Multiply Plywood Mill. She was an accomplished cook and delighted in sharing her dishes with company. Nobody left Anna's home hungry. Home and family were most important to her. Anna was predeceased by her husband Narciso, by her parents Vincenzo and Maria, and by her uncle Carlo Mocibob. She is survived by her children - Angela (Kevin) Muloin, Nadia, Fulvio (Jody), David (Shelley), by seven grandchildren - Carli, Megan, Wayne, Melissa, Amy, Danica and Addisyn, by two great grandchildren - Zoey and Landon. She is also survived by her aunt Guilia Mocibob and her sons - John and Lucien, by her sister-in-law Anna (George) Smiljanic and their children - Tanya and Dennis, by her dear friend Giovanni Mancuso who did so much for her, and her siblings in Italy - Tonino, Graziella, Franco, Bruno, Sergio, Gino and all their families. Resting at the Elliott Funeral Home Ltd. , Nipigon where friends may call from 6 P.M. until 8 P.M. on Thursday, July 16, 2009. Prayers will be offered at the funeral home on Thursday at 7 P.M. Funeral mass for Anna Franceschini will be held on Friday, July 17, 2009 at 11 A.M. at the Church of the Annunciation, Nipigon with Father R. Morrisseau officiating. Interment will be in St. Andrew's Roman Catholic Cemetery, Thunder Bay, Ontario. Friends so wishing may make donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or the War Amps Champs program.
