Godick, Lawrence (Larry)
Passed away peacefully at home Wednesday, April 6, 2005. Larry was born September 23, 1949 in Fort William, son of Paul and Eva Godick. He attended local schools and graduated from Westgate High, Larry was an employee of CP Rail for over 33 years. His last position as a Conductor on assignment #1 Kam. sub way freights, he was an active member of UTU local 463, serving in various positions with the union over the years. Larry took great pride in his vehicles by making sure they were washed and waxed so you could see them gleaming and shining from miles away. Larry enjoyed fishing, hunting, biking, walking, his Monday and Thursday night bowling league. He liked taking winter vacations to the Caribbean, and weekend trips to the States. He was predeceased by his mother Eva, his father Paul and numerous cherished aunts and uncles. Surviving are son Robert, daughter Jennifer and (grand dog Tant-trum) and loving friend and companion Marianne Zuliani and her two children Kelly and Christopher. Also surviving are Aunts Tillie Benedict (Graham) of Kelowna, B.C. , Helen Johnson (Ernie) of Thunder Bay, Patsey Boyko of Winnipeg, Manitoba, Uncle John (Dora) Antoniow of Eston Sask. As well numerous Aunts, Uncles and cousins. As per his wishes Cremation has taken place. Funeral Services will be held Monday, April 11 at 11:00 a.m. in the Westfort Chapel, 420 Gore St. W. at James officiated by Rev. Harold Hunt. Services will be complete in the Chapel with a private grave side interment of Ashes at a later date.
