With his wife by his side Wayne R. Gunn, age 65 years, passed away peacefully at the TBRHSC. Wayne grew up in Fort William with summers at Birch Beach. In his earlier years he enjoyed muscle cars and cruising Arthur St. while going to the A&W where he met his wife Patricia Perry. Wayne drove truck for 26 years and enjoyed fixing vehicles, gardening and yard work before having a stroke in 1997. After he volunteered for the Telephone Assurance Program and enjoyed talking to the people he called. Wayne is survived by his wife Patricia, his brother Robert, his children Richard, Mark (Carol) and Tricia (Mark) Blunden, and grandchildren Christine (Gord), Scott, Ashley and Selina. Predeceased by his parents J. Edison and Mildred Gunn. Cremation has taken place and a Service will be held on Thursday, June 14, 2012 at Fort William Baptist Church at 2:00 pm. In lieu of flowers a donation to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or charity of your choice would be appreciated.
