Mr.Francis Houston, age 55 years, dear brother, uncle, great-uncle, cousin and friend passed away in hospital on Sunday, March 27, 2005. Born August 19, 1949 in Fort William, Gordie spent his life in White River. Gordie was predeceased by his mother Mary in December of 2004 and his father Dr. W.G. (Bill) Houston in February of 1966, many uncles, aunts and cousins.He is survived by his brothers Dan of Thunder Bay, Jim & Linda of Thunder Bay and Bill & Lori of Reno Nevada. As well he leaves to mourn his loss nieces and nephews, Marty, Anne-Marie, Ian, Daniel and Katy and his two partners in tow great-nephew Tristian and great-nieceTaelor. Gordie will be greatly missed by Kevin & Ren»e Chiasson and their children Jo-Dee, Matrayca and Hunter. A void will also be felt in the lives of many relatives, the White River morning restaurant coffee crew and other friends. Gordie's passions in life were his work with CP in White River, Schreiber and Chapleau, which he recently took early retirement and the camp at Picnic Lake. Many a bird, squirrel and chipmunk were fed from early spring to late fall. He will be remembered for his kindness, his spirit, his devotion to his mother, family and friends. He is now at peace and will be watching over us all. God Bless his wonderful spirit. A joint memorial service and internment of ashes for Gordie and his mother will be held in White River in late spring.
