Huston, Willima (Bill)

It is with great sadness that the family of Bill Houston, age 66 years, of Terrace Bay announce his passing on July 6, 2001, after a courageous battle with cancer. A retired vice principal who loved teaching and continued to teach after retirement, Bill will be remembered as a loving husband and father, as well as for his dedication to many organizations such as the Children's Aid Society, St. JosephÃs Care Group, Thunder Bay Symphony Choir, O.S.S.T.F, Aguasabon Golf Course Executive, and his many terms as municipal councilor for the Township of Terrace Bay. Predeceased by his mother Ada, father William, sister Pat Leonidis and granddaughter Kimmy Kostecki. Bill will be sadly missed by his wife Prisca (Mooney); children Mark(Nancy) Houston, Sheilah (Randy) Kostecki, Emmett (Nadene) Houston; brother Charlie (Margaret) Houston; sister Esther (Jerry) Clark; brother-in-law Paul Leonidas; nieces and nephews David (Lisa) Leonidas, Terry (Jodi) Leonidas, John (Beth) Leonidas, Katherine Leonidas,Maryanne(Ralph) Mader, Rick Paul, Glenn Paul, Billy (Valerie) Paul, MonicaHouston, Teresa Houston; step-mother Amy Houston; grandchildren Morgan, Tristan, Dayna Houston, and Craig and Erin Kostecki. Evening service for Bill will begin at 7:00pm Monday, July 9 at St. Martin of Tours Roman Catholic Church in Terrace Bay and funeral services will begin at 11:00am Tuesday, July 10 also at St. Martins with interment to follow at the Terrace Bay Cemetery.If friends so desire, donations to St. Joseph's Care Group or the Northern Cancer Research would be appreciated.
