Johnson, Doris Gertrude

1913-2006 Doris was born on January 31, 1913 in Fort William (Thunder Bay). She lived on Brodie Street with parents Albert and Dinah Cooper and sister Edna. She was church pianist at Fundamental Baptist Church. Predeceased by husband Norvel Gammond she married Ira Fulmer and moved to the California desert. She was a nurses‘ aid and caregiver. Following Ira's death she married Norman Johnson of Thunder Bay. Challenged by failing eyesight she remained in her home, cared for by her church family. Always outspoken, she shared her love of life and her faith with all. A resident of Ridgecrest for 50 years, she was predeceased there by husband Norman. Doris passed into the presence of her Lord on Sunday, December 3, 2006. A Celebration of Life Service was held at Immanuel Baptist Church Ridgecrest California. She is survived by family in Canada and the U.S.
