Johnson, Earl

Earl Johnson, born May 12th 1916 in Prince Saskatchewan, died peacefully at the age of 85 at the Geraldton District Hospital with his family by his side. He leaves behind his beloved wife Martha of 60 years; his daughter Betty Grant (Bill) of Winnipeg; his son Garry (Micheline) of Thunder Bay; five grandchildren: Kelli, David, Lynn, Ryan and Dean; six great grandchildren. He was pre-deceased by his parents, two brothers and one sister. He is survived by his eldest brother Clarence of Indian Head, Saskatchewan. Earl served in the RCAF in World War II. In 1945, together with his brother Clarence, Earl ran a General Motors & John Deere garage & dealership in Miniota, Manitoba. In 1959 he was employed by TransCanada Pipeline in Geraldton. In 1981, Earl retired in Geraldton after spending 14 years at Pipeline Station 86 near Hearst, Ontario. A funeral ceremony will be held at St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church (Geraldton) on Tuesday,April 30, 2002 at 2:00pm with the Rev. Joanne Macodrum officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer's Society would be appreciated.
