Johnson, Michael Roy

It is with deepest sadness that we announce the passing of Michael Roy Johnson 'Kilroy' on Sunday, October 3, 2004, after a brief battle with cancer. Born in Fort William on August 27, 1946. He spent his childhood on the Fort William Reserve and resided in the Westfort area for his adult life. He was employed at the elevators as well as with the shipping industry as a deck hand. Roy had a zest for life and was always able to put a smile on your face with a quick remark of joke. He loved sports, hunting and the outdoors, most of all, fishing at Whitefish Lake with his family. Roy is survived by his wife Linda, daughter Ashley, son Derek (wife Sherri) and grandchildren Hunter Lee and Tyler, mother Agatha, sisters Jennifer and Mimi, brothers David, Alfie and Clifford. Predeceased by his father Richard, sisters Millie and Margaret and brothers Georgie, Bobby and Ritchie. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, October 7, 2004 at 10:00 a.m. in the St. Ann's Mission Church, with Rev. Larry Kroker s.j. officiating. Interment will follow at Immaculate Conception Cemetery.
