Johnston, Graham

Mr. Graham Johnston passed away suddenly at home August 30, 2005 at the age of 82. Graham was born near Montrose, Scotland on November 7, 1922 to Archibald and Jenny Johnston, eldest brother to Archie, Jenny and David. He served in the British Armed Forces during WWII and then moved to Thunder Bay. Graham retired 18 years ago from a long career with the City of Thunder Bay. He often volunteered his maintenance and carpentry skills to the Ortona Legion, friends and family members. Fishing and gardening were just two of his favorite pastimes. Close surviving relatives are his wife of 56 years, Martha Johnston, daughters: Holly Johnston and Paulette Bilcowski, and grandchildren: Michael Lehtinen and Adam Johnston-Manley. Predeceased relatives include his parents and his grandson Patrick Graham Lehtinen. A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, September 2, 2005 at 2:00 p.m. in the Blake Funeral Chapel with Mr. Jim Hyder officiating. Services will be complete in the chapel. Interment will take place at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario or to the Charity of your choice. A tree will be planted in memory of Graham Johnston in the Blake Funeral Chapel Memorial Grove.
