Jouliet, Lieselotte
Mrs. Lieselotte (Lotte) Jouliet (nee Podraza), age 76 years of Dublin Avenue passed away peacefully in hospital after a very long and courageous battle with Multiple Sclerosis. Born in Koeln-Muelheim, West Germany, she came to Canada on November 4, 1956 to a bushcamp in Hillsport, Ontario. In 1959 she and her family moved to Port Arthur where she worked at the Port Arthur General Hospital and later at Pinewood Court until her early retirement in 1987 due to her ill health. Before her valiant battle with M.S. , Lotte was an avid bowler in a league in Thunder Bay. She also loved to read, crochet, knit and bake. Christmas time was not complete without visitors coming over for a taste of Oma's German shortbread and meringues! She will be forever loved and sadly missed by her daughter Helga Roos and son-in-law Jerry Roos; two grandchildren Janine and Jordan; and her two dogs Mandy and Casey, ÷ all of Thunder Bay. Also surviving in Cologne Germany are her sister Helen Kroeber; two brothers Kurt (Else) Podraza and Fritz (Else) Podraza; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives. Lotte was predeceased by her parents and seven brothers and sisters. Private Funeral Services for the Late Mrs. Lieselotte Jouliet will be held in the EVEREST FUNERAL CHAPEL, 299 Waverley St. at Algoma at a later date with interment in Riverside Cemetery.
