Laitinen, Anja

Mrs. Anja Tellervo Laitinen, age 71 years, passed away on Saturday January 20, 2007 at Thunder Bay Regional Hospital with family by her side. Anja was born in Kokkola, Finland and moved to Thunder Bay in 1957. On June 5, 1971 Anja married Veikko Laitinen. She worked with Helping Hands as a home care provider. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, crafts and spending time with her family especially her granddaughter Hannah, who was the light of her life. Anja is survived by her husband Veikko of 35 years, daughter Anita and son Richard (Carole) and special granddaughter Hannah. A brother and sister and their families in Finland. Arrangements are in care of Simpler Times Cremation Center.
