It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Lou Leonzio on February 2nd, 2013 after a long battle with Alzheimer. Lou was born in Thunder Bay (Fort William) on June 21, 1937. Lou is survived by his wife of 55 years, Mary Lou, sons David (Alison), Jodie (Carolyn) and daughter Debbie (Bob), grandchildren CarlyCarmyn, CarieCrista, Ryan and Taylor, brother Guido, sisters Katherine and Clara along with numerous nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by parents Anthony and Louisa, a brother and sister in infancy, brother Rocco and sisters Grace, Theresa and Mary. Lou worked for Ontario Hydro for 35 years retiring in 1992. He belonged to Toastmasters and helped with the 4H Club for a short while. He was a long time member of the Lions Club serving as President for 1 term. He treasured times spent with his family and friends. He enjoyed fishing, golfing, camping …. the great outdoors. He lived and loved life to the fullest.

A Memorial Funeral Mass was held Thursday, February 7th at 10:00 a.m. in St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church with Rev. Alan Campeau officiating. Interment of ashes will take place at a later date. Visitation was held Wednesday, February 6th at 5:00 p.m. with prayers recited at 6:00 p.m. in the Moffat Chapel of the Stevens Funeral Homes. If friends desire donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society or a charity of your choice through the Stevens Funeral Homes P.O. Box 412, Dryden ON P8N 2Z1.
