Kenzie Angus MacDonald 84 years, died in Dallas, Texas, February 9, 2011. Memorial Service will be held, 11:00 AM, March 7 at Sparkman Funeral Home, 1029 South Greenville Ave., Richardson, TX. Remembrance made to your charities of choice. Kenzie MacDonald was born in Thunder Bay, Ontario, attended Selkirk and Collegiate High Schools where he excelled in several sports. He also attended school in Manitoba, Scotland and Missouri State. He met and married Mary Peebles in 1949. He and Mrs. MacDonald were residents of Glenview, Illinois for 30 years, and lived in Ft Worth and Dallas for the last 25 years. When he retired in 1992 after 26 years with R.R Donnelley & Sons Co. he was V.P. sales for Canada. Previously he had been V.P. sales for the Southern U.S and Midwest sales. Kenzie was a past member of the Chicago Curling Club, a sport he and his wife enjoyed, had been active as a mgr. and officer of Glenview Ill. Little League operations, an officer of various swim clubs and announced New Trier Swimming events for 15 years. He was a long time member of the AAU, Illinois Parents Swim Assoc., Chairman of Central U.S. Jr. Olympics for two years, a member of various trade organizations. Kenzie was a member of the Scottish Clans of North Texas, Clan Donald Society, University of Toronto Presidents Club, and North West Ontario Sports Hall of Fame. He was an active golfer as a member of Ridglea Country Club, Forth Worth, also Sunset Ridge Country Club, Northfield, Illinois. He felt hed lived a full life, and one of his few regrets was that he would not be around to see his beloved Chicago Cubs in the World Series. Survivors: Wife of 61 years, Mary B. MacDonald, sons Byron of Toronto, Canada, Roderick of Midland, Texas, Bruce in Denver, Keith in Northbrook, Illinois and daughter Cathy Manning in Dallas , TX, and 17 grandchildren, and 1 great grandchild. The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses at Presbyterian Hospital and Triumph Rehabilitation Center.
