Maki, Rose

Mrs. Rose Marion Maki (Cayenne) age 74 passed away at TBRHSC on Aug. 15, 2008 after a brief battle with cancer. Born in Medicine Hat, Alberta, Rose moved to Port Arthur, Ontario where she met her husband Reijo Maki. Rose is survived by her husband Reijo of 56 years, 8 children Pearl (Andy) Jaffray B.C, Wayne (Kathy) Ralston, AB, Wendy (John), Ray (Laura) Brooks,AB, Cindy (Gary), Bonnie (Garry), Heather (Danny) Edmonton,AB and Geraldine (Tim). She is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Predeceased by her grandson Dane Kuznak. Her one special ray of sunshine Alaska. Rose became mother to her deceased sister's children Virginia, Maxine, Kathy, Peggy and Leo. She is also survived by her sister Laura, brother Lloyd and special cousin Daisy as well as numerous other relatives. When she wasn't spending time with family she could be found at the casino, Value Village or enjoying Bingo. Rose will be greatly missed by all her family and friends. Upon request there will be no service.
