Mayhew, Janie

Janie Hine (nee Collier) age 66 passed away peacefully on December 8th, 2006 after a lengthy illness. She was born July 15th in Gisborne New Zealand to John and Janie Collier. Janie was educated in Dunedin NZ and graduated as an RN specializing in Neurosurgery. Janie left NZ to pursue a career in England before coming to Canada in 1967. Here she met and married her husband of 39 years, Russell Mayhew. Janie loved to spend time with Russell in the outdoors, hunting and fishing and also volunteering with the 11th Fort William Boy Scouts at First Church United. Janie is survived by Russell, her sons John (Laura) and Owen, and 2 granddaughters Danika and Alyssa. Survived by siblings in Australia and NZ, Iri, Polly, Johnny, Puriri, Makuini, Claude, Sandra, Sunny, James and David. Predeceased by her parents, and siblings Betty and Hara.
