Mary Agnes (Polly) McCoy age 75 years of N. James Street passed away with her family by her side after a lengthy illness on Monday, December 10, 2001. Born February 3, 1926 in Fort William, Ontario, Polly was raised and educated in Fort William and attended Francis St. School and Fort William Collegiate Institute. Joined Canadian Woman's Army Corp in 1942, was employed with Can Car and later went on to enjoy a long and fulfilling career in the nursing field where she remained until she retired in 1985. She is survivedby daughters Sherren (BC), Maureen (BC), Colleen, Renee (Tom) and sons Ken (Janise), Wesley (Maureen) all of Thunder Bay. Brother Jack (Alta) and sister Mona (Niagara Falls). Grandchildren Daniel, Sheelin, Shannon, Chad, Tanya, Daryl, Michelle, Gary, Andy, Brittney and Samantha. Great grandchildren Michael, Timothy and Cassandra and nieces, nephews and cousins. Predeceased by parents William and Sarah Crocker, husband Milton, son Dean, daughter Wendy and brothers Stan and Louis, sisters Verona, Noreen and Ella, granddaughter Sheana and a very special friend, Ria Perrier. Cremation has taken place and as per Mom's wishes no service will be held. Interment will be held at a later date in Mountain View Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family would request that donations be made to either the Canadian Heart and Stroke Foundation or Canadian Diabetes Association in her memory. At this time the family would like to extend their sincere thanks to Chaplain Ed Long, Doctors Trusdale, Stamler and Nigro and the nursing staff of Fourth Floor East at the Port Arthur General. An open house will be held December 13, 2001 at 7:00 PM at 751 N. James Street. All of Mom's family and friends are welcome.
