Mcdonald, Frank Edward "Ted"

Frank Edward "Ted" McDonald passed away peacefully at Rainycrest Long Term Care Home Friday, February 27, 2009 surrounded by his devoted wife, family and dear friends. He was born in Fort William, Ontario, Nov 29, 1935 to Vona & John McDonald where he was raised along with his older brother Jack. He moved to Fort Frances in 1983 where he married the love of his life, Renee, on August 26th. They spent the next 25 years sharing adventures, travelling, skiing, boating and dancing. Their life was always filled with laughter and love. Ted was filled with pride by the accomplishments of his children, grandchildren, step children and step grandchildren and they could count on him for his support and advice. He treated all of them with understanding, love and a sense of humor. He is survived by his wife Renee, his brother Jack and wife Shell, their son John and his family. H is daughter Kelly and husband Don Hughson, his son Teddy, Step Children Kim Perreault, Bob Martin, Tanya and husband Peter Koukos, grandchildren Ryan and Sean Carlson, Colin and Genevieve Andresen, Talladega and Bristol McDonald, step grandchildren Nathan and Sara DeGagne, Zachary Martin, Pelayia Koukos. He was predeceased by his parents Vona and John McDonald, former wife Fran and son-in-law Tim Perreault. He will be greatly missed by family and many friends. "Happy Hour" won't be the same but his jokes and great sense of humor will live on in our memories. The celebration of Ted's life will be held Saturday, March 7th at the Royal Canadian Legion in Fort Frances, On at 11am. The family requests that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to The Rainycrest Family Council 550 Osborne St, Fort Frances, On, P9A 3T2 or a Charity of choice.
