Mr. Donald Ernest McLennan, age 81 years passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 5th, 2001 at Thunder Bay Regional Hospital - Port Arthur site.Born in Port Arthur on April 9th, 1920, he grew up locally and served overseas with the Lake Superior Regiment Motor.Being a jack-of-all trades, Don loved puttering around his workshop.He was known, and willalways be remembered for bringing out the laughter in everyone with his sense of humour, the kinship he shared with all animals, and for giving his grandchildren rides in the trailer he made for his lawn mower.Don was predeceased by his mother and father, his son Donnie, and cousin Roy McLennan.He is lovingly remembered by wife Jean of 59 years, daughters Darlene, Jodi Anne (Dave) grandchildren Heidi (Dan), Jeff (Courtney), Donnie and Adam, and great grandchildren Kristen and Katelyn, and pets Jenny and Millie.Cremation has taken place, and a private family service will be held at a later date.
