Mclennan, Jean

Mrs. Jean Watson McLennan (nee McDaid), age 78 years, passed away peacefully to join the love of her life on their 63rd wedding anniversary, December 25, 2002, with her family by her side. Jean was born in Port Arthur on March 15, 1924. She grew up locally and attended Central School. During the War, she worked for Canada Car, then for Zellers, as well as various dress shops. On December 25, 1939, Jean was joined in marriage to the man of her dreams, Donald. Together they raised a family, which Jean loved dearly. Jean was known and will be always remembered for her kind heart, gentle nature and love for her family. She was predeceased by her mother and father, son Donnie, brothers Bobby and Brucie McDaid, sisters Kay and Norma as well as her loving husband, Don. Jean will be lovingly remembered by daughters Darlene and Jodi (Dave), grandchildren Heidi (Dan), Jeffrey (Courtney), Donnie and Adam, great granddaughters Kristen and Katelyn, sister Carolyn (Barry), brothers Bill (Olga) and David (Maxine), several nieces and nephews, as well as her cats Millie and Jenny. Thank you to all the staff at the Thunder Bay Regional Hospital - IMCU and the "Chaplain House" at Roseview Manor. You all were great and made our mother's stay happy and comforting. Cremation has taken place and a service will be held at a later date.
