1947 - 2004Mr. R. Daniel McMillan , age 57 years , resident of Thunder Bay passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 21st, 2004. Dan was born October 12th, 1947 in Fort Frances and lived in Atikokan as a child moving to Fort William in 1961. He was employed with Canadian National Railways for 34 years retiring in 2001 from his Yardmaster position with a lifetime membership in the United Transportation Union. Dan is survived by his loving family, wife Sheleigh, daughter Theresa and her husband Mike Hocaliuk, son Robert and his fianc» Candice Cooke. His extended family includes sister Marilyn and her husband Gerd Eggers and his nephew and niece Bill and Barbara and their families in British Columbia. Sister in law Robby and her husband Don Telfer mourn his loss along with brother in law Jim Adams and his wife Debbie and their families and his many treasured friends. Oldest daughter Donna McMillan and her children Brady and Lindsey also survive him. His parents Daniel and Lillian, his brother Donald and his mother and father -in - law Jim and Joyce Adams predeceased Dan. According to Dan's wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial service celebrating his life will be held Monday, October 25th at 11:00 a.m. at Trinity United Church - 30 South Algoma Street with Rev. Randy Boyd officiating. Interment will held at a later date in Mountain View Cemetery. If friends should so desire, donations to Wesway Family Respite Services would be greatly appreciated.
