McNALLY SAMUEL ANGUS Mr. Samuel Angus McNally passed away peacefully at St. Joseph's Hospital with family by his side on February 2, 2009. He is survived by his sisters Betty (Ron) Roberts and Ida (Mike) Holomego; his loving wife Lois Galvin-McNally; sons Kevin (Cathy), Chris (Linda), Hugh (Heidi) and Shawn; daughter Jocelyn (Steve) Kachur as well as many grandchildren and great grandchildren who adored him very much; step-children Janine (Peter) Johnston, Patrick (Claire) Galvin, Charles Galvin and Nancy (John) Oracz. Sam was born and raised on the homestead in Murillo eventually taking over the family farm started by his father. He married Shirley Gammond and together they raised five children on the farm. After retiring from farming, he worked for the Oliver Township Roads Department and was actively involved in the community, also serving as a member of council. When Sam retired, he was able to enjoy more of his passions which included family, weekends and summers at the family camp in Ignace, catching all the big fish, and his music. He was very multi-talented and played many instruments that entertained friends and family from here to Arizona. He will be extremely missed by many. Visitation for family and friends will be held on Thursday, February 5, 2009 from 7 - 9 p.m. at Jenkens Funeral Home, funeral services for Mr. Sam McNally being held on Friday at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Jenkens Funeral Home with Rev. Scott Gale of Pinegrove United Church officiating. A reception will be held at the Murillo Hall following the service. A private family interment will be held at a later date.
