MELANSON, MARGARETJan. 13, 1958 - Feb. 19, 2005Maggie Melanson (nee MacBride), age 47, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, February 19, 2005 while working in Mexico. Born in Thunder Bay on January 13, 1958, Maggie had a zest for life and had a great sense of humour. Maggie enjoyed summers out at Oliver Lake and especially time spent with her son Adam. Although she encountered some bumps in the road of life, she finally had found happiness in the warm sunshine of Mexico. Maggie will be lovingly remembered by son Adam (Natalie) of Calgary (here), mother Annie MacBride, brother David (Diane). Nieces Lee Ann Dutka, Kitty (Richard) & Jenna Fodchuk and Chelsey MacBride. Nephews Rob Dutka, Jason and Scott MacBride and Joshua Fodchuk. Maggie was dearly loved by her family and many close friends and will be greatly missed. Predeceased by father Angus in 1978, her brother Bill Dutka Sr. in 2002 and nephew Bill Dutka Jr. in 1981. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held on Monday, February 28, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Elizabeth's Church at the corner of Sprague and Empire Streets, with Father Joseph and Father Richard jointly officiating. In lieu of flowers, if friends desire, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
