MIETTINENMrs. Marion Frances Miettinen, age 84 years, resident of 204 South Kenogami Avenue, passed away in Royal Jubilee Hospital, Victoria, BC on Wednesday, February 7th, 2001 following a lengthy illness. Born in Port Arthur, she had been a lifetime resident. Marion was very giving and caring - family and home were dear to her, and she treasured the time spent with family. Marion, a loving mom and grandmother is survived by her husband Bill; two sons: Bill (June) Archer and Delbert (Sylvia) Archer both of Thunder Bay; two daughters: Gloria Archer and Bonnie King (Eric) both of Victoria, BC (enroute); seven grandchildren: Sherry, Liana, Delbert, David, Tom, Aimee and Melissa; five great-grandchildren: Darin, Nicole, Meagan, Madison and Abigail; five sisters: Phyllis, Marge, Lyla, Zelma, Hazel and brother Frank. Marion was predeceased by her parents Frank and Grace Fassano; sister Helen and brother Russell. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, February 12th at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Harbourview Funeral Center, officiated by Rev. Frank Maunula. Interment will take place in Riverside Cemetery. Visitation for family and friends will be held one hour prior to time of Service. If friends so desire, donations may be made in Marion's memory to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, or to the charity of choice.
