Miller, Alice Louise

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Alice Louise Miller on April 16, 2008 in the McCausland Hospital, Terrace Bay at the age of 84 years. Alice was born on August 20, 1923 to the late Walter and Anna Hodgson in Fredericton New Brunswick. Alice's main interest throughout her life was her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. While raising her three children they spent many summers at their camp on Magaguadavic Lake. Her grandchildren lovingly called her Gramma or Nan and her great-grandchildren knew her as Great-Nanny M. as well to many other children she was simply the Bubble-Gum-Lady. Alice was a member of Schreiber's A.C.W. and loved to collect plates, read, as well as had a passion for train travel. Alice will be lovingly remembered by her daughter Shirley (Myron) and twin sons, Michael (Lila) and Maxwell (Anne), grandchildren Jennifer (Michael), Sheryl (Peter), Dannielle (Dustin), Christopher (Susan), Lindsay (Michael), Julie (Cory), Jan (Jason), Courtney (Jason) and Meghan (Tyler). Alice will also be missed by her great-grandchildren, Chase, Branden, Garret and Lexi as well as her sisters Phyllis (Peter), Mary (Archie) and her brother Walter Jr. (Jean) as well as many nieces and nephews. Alice was predeceased by her first husband Neven and her second life partner Donald and also her sisters Gwen (Jerry) and Martha (Fred). A memorial service for Alice will be held on Friday April 18, 2008 beginning at 11:00 am. at St. John's Anglican Church in Schreiber. Burial of Cremates will be held at a later date in New Brunswick. As expressions of sympathy donations to the Alzheimer's Society or the McCausland Hospital Long Term Care project would be appreciated.
