Miller, William Alfred
1937-2005Mr. William Alfred Miller, 'Bunker', age 67 resident of Kakabeka Falls passed away August 21, 2005. Born on October 14, 1937 in Ketchen, Saskatchewan and moving to Stanley Park Neebing Township in his early childhood. He was educated locally at Stanley Park School, F.W.C.I. and Lakehead Technical Institute. He became a Certified Engineering Technician and a Certified Pipeline Inspector. Bunker spent his early career working at Algoma, Coldstream and Steeprock mines. Later, he became a Superintendant at Northern Central (TwinCity) Gas Company. He was a past member of Big Brothers, Royal Canadian Legion Br. #6, Thunder Bay Lodge A.F. and A.M. #618 and Army and Navy Air Force #257. Bunker enjoyed hunting fishing, gardening and starting new projects. He always had a story to tell. In more recent years, he enjoyed just being at home and visiting with company that dropped by. Bunker is survived by daughters Dawn and Deanna Miller, grandsons Michael, Kristopher and Jonathon Cifarelli and granddaughter Hanna Miller-Collins. Sisters Elizabeth Mercier, Lois (Larry) Devereaux, Judy (Ray) Krisciunas and numerous other relatives residing in Saskatchewan. Many thanks to neighourhood 'family' Larry Dahlstrom, Dan Parnega, Carl Olson, Melody Macsemchuk and family, Anna Labelle and family. Predeceased by his parents Helen and William Miller. Cremation has already taken place and a 'Celebration of Bunker's Life' will take place on September 10, 2005, 1 P.M. at Kakabeka Falls Legion, Hwy 17.
