Mochizuki, Edward "Ed"
With great sadness, we announce the passing of our dear husband, father and grandfather, Ed Mochizuki. He passed away on July 17, 2012 at the TBRHSC peacefully with his family at his side. Ed was born in Ucluelet, BC on March 27, 1926. He was evacuated to Tashme, BC, then later to Neys, Schreiber and Fort William, Ontario. He was employed at CP Rail for 33 years, retiring in 1986. He loved boating, water skiing and was an avid fisherman. His other interests included painting, music and challenging Sudoku puzzles. Ed is survived by his loving wife Doreen; loving daughter Corinne, son-in-law Clement Leon and his beloved granddaughter Chloe, from Mississauga. He is also survived by a brother and sister in Japan and a brother Lawrence (Jan) in Sudbury as well as nephews, nieces, great nephews and great nieces in Japan and Canada. He was predeceased by his parents Kiutaro and Tome and his brother Harry. A social reception will be held on Friday, July 20, 2012 from 5 - 8 p.m. in the Jenkens Funeral Home Reception Centre. In lieu of flowers, if so desired, donations to the TBRHSC Renal Unit would be greatly appreciated. Many thanks to all the doctors at the Hemodialysis Unit, the kind nurses and to Val. Also to all the doctors and nurses in ICU for their kindness and compassion. Thanks also to the kind nurses and George on 2A. As well, many thanks to our relatives, friends and neighbours for the thoughtfulness and kindness shown to us.
