Nabigon, Kody
Kody Trevor Camille Nabigon, age 17 of Pic River First Nation, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, October 7th, 2012.
Kody was a great athlete, he played baseball and golf but his favourite sport was hockey. He played for the Marathon Mercs, Pic River Sharks and many other hockey teams. Kody was known far-n-wide for his hardest slapshot. Kody always had a generous heart. Kody always knew how to be a kid and played with his younger cousins. In recent years he became Lesley and Logans beloved uncle which he was so proud to be. He would play hide-n-seek (especially with his cousin Arlene), teach hockey moves or anything to put a smile on their faces.
He loved the outdoors fishing and hunting. Kody never shied away from hard work. He would help his grandparents and aunties stack wood or any job that would require muscles. Kody also loved his down time chatting and playing video games.
Kody was going to graduate in June and he was excited to start a new journey to attend college and become a millwright.
Kody is survived by his parents Chris and Susan Nabigon, his brothers Chris Jr. (Lorraine Keough) and Kyle (Andrea Duff), his niece Lesley Cross and his nephew Logan Nabigon as well as his first love Nikila Smelt. He is also survived by his grandparents Nancy and Basil Desmoulin as well as numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. He will be welcomed into Heaven by his sister Sarah-Angel, Granny Ruby and Shomie Camille Nabigon, his godmother Donna Desmoulin and his auntie wee.
Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 PM on Wednesday October 17th, 2012 in the Marathon Recreation Complex, located at 16 Peninsula Road, Marathon, ON, officiated by Rev. Milton McWatch and Rev. David Giuliano. Burial will follow the service in the Pic River Cemetery. Visitation for family and friends will be held in the Community Hall in Pic River beginning at 5:00 PM on Monday October 15th, 2012.
The world became a much better place when Kody arrived
and now Heaven has his beautiful soul
and he must be showing off his slapshot to his sister.
Kody you will be forever loved and never be forgotten.
Thank you Lord for 17 beautiful years with Kody...
