Nichols, Ivan

The family of Ivan Nichols sadly announces the passing of their brother on Monday, December 7th, 2009 at the age of 67 in Abbotsford, B.C. During his 35 years in Thunder Bay, Ivan was involved in local baseball, hockey, bowling and golf. He was employed with CPR until his retirement at age 55 at which time him and Shirlee moved to B.C. Ivan is survived by his wife Shirlee, son Sean (Yuko) and grandson Ivan. He is also survived by his brothers, Dick, Marathon, and Bob (Ethel), Thunder Bay, sisters, Dorothy (Roger) Desjardins, Marathon, Maureen Randle, Thunder Bay, Sharron (Rowland) Martyn, Murillo, Sharlene (Bob) Davis, Thunder Bay and sister-in-law Alice Nichols, Thunder Bay and numerous nieces and nephews. Ivan was predeceased by his parents (Ivan & Viola), brother Burnett and brother-in-law Dick Randle. Ivan enjoyed the past 12 years in B.C. following his passion for golf and spending time with his greatest treasure his grandson. As per his wishes, Ivan has been cremated and there will be no funeral service.
