Nystrom, Phyllis

Mrs. Phyllis Nystrom, age 87 years, passed away peacefully in hospital on Tuesday, July 22, 2008. Phyllis was born in Stalybridge, Lancashire, England on July 28, 1920. She came to Canada in 1923 with her family and they settled in Dryden. As a young lady, she worked in the Post Office and Grocery Store in Wabigoon. Her family and friends were her main interests. Survived by her daughter Karen (Michael Abraham), sons Roy Allan (Joyce), Ronald Albert (Lorna), 6 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren, sisters Florence Savage, Joan Danier, Elaine Thompson (Clare), brothers Bill Neill (Pat), Sydney Neill (Sophie). Also surviving are many nieces, nephews and other relatives here and in England. Predeceased by her first husband Roy Lundmark in 1945 and her second husband Bert Nystrom in 1975, parents Robert Hewitson and Agnes and Albert Neill, sisters Bessie Shultz and brother Robert Hewitson. Funeral services for the late Mrs. Phyllis Nystrom will be held on Friday, August 1, 2008 at 2:00 PM in St. John's Anglican Church, Wabigoon, Ontario. Interment to take place in Wabigoon Cemetery. A reception will follow at the Wabigoon Community Hall. If friends so desire, donations to the Alzheimer Society or a charity of your choice would be greatly appreciated.
