1937 - 2011
The fish stopped biting for Tom Pacholczak, 73 years, under a bright full moon at 2 a.m. on February 19, 2011, surrounded by his loving family.

Tom was an employee of Abitibi Paper for 29 years and was committed to helping in the community. This included the athletic association for the mill and he was past President of branch #219 of the Polish Legion, as well as the fish club at the Polish Legion. He was an active member of the St. Michael and All Angels Parish Community. Tom was a great outdoorsman, he had a passion for fishing and camping in the company of his family and friends - no fish was safe if Tom was in the boat. A man of few words but a large heart when it came to those he loved.

He is survived by his wife Margret; daughters Audrey Demers and Kim McKenna; son Lyle; step-daughters: Helene (Greg) Dahl, Sharron Dupont and Susan Dupont; sixteen grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; brothers: Chester, George (Faye), Henry, Jim (Adele); sisters Jean Kowalczyk, Brenda (Joe) Ariganello and Christine (John) Pacholczak; brother-in-law Len (Lois) Edwardson; many nieces, nephews, extended family and many treasured friends also survive. Predeceased by his parents Pauline and Felix; step-son Dennis Dupont; sister-in-law Irene Pacholczak and brother-in-law Edward Kowalczyk.

Cremation has taken place and a celebration of Tom's life will be held in St. Michael and All Angels Anglican Church, 675 Red River Road, at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, February 25, 2011 with Rev. Peter Smyth officiating. Interment will be held in the spring at Sunset Memorial Gardens. If friends so desire, donations to the Northern Cancer Research Foundation or to the charity of choice would be greatly appreciated by the family.
