It is with sadness the family of Mary Perrier announces her passing on Wednesday February 1, 2012 at St. Paul’s Hospital. Mary was born on September 23, 1932 in Arelee, SK to William and Annie. For the early part of her life she worked for over 20 years as rotating office supervisor with Mutual Life of Canada. She met Fern Perrier during one of her assignments to the Thunder Bay office and in 1974 they were married. Mary started a new chapter in her life as a loving wife to Fern and loving mother to her stepson Richard. She returned back to her roots in Saskatchewan in 1995 and spent the remainder of her years in Saskatoon. Mary is survived by Fern’s family: Raymond (Judy) Perrier, Armand (Penny) Perrier, Lorraine (Don) Stewart, daughter-in-law Bonnie Perrier, and Richard Perrier; grandchildren Jason (Deanne) Perrier, Ben (Beth) Perrier, Adrienne (Shayne) Hamilton, Amanda (Andy) Williamson, Aaren (Craig) Steele, Patrick (Erin) Perrier, Ian Perrier; great-grandchildren Ethan, Alex, Natalie, Marin and Azilda; nieces and nephews: Sandi (Jerry) Roberts, Bill (Tracey) Petrosenko, Bob (Michelle) Petrosenko, and Carol (Kelly) Neuert, Douglas (Kelly) Simmons, Millie (Steve) Ostrander, and Debbi Gundler, and their families. Mary was predeceased by her parents William and Annie, husband Fern, brother Wallace and sister-in-law Jenny Petrosenko, stepsister Lena and her husband John Simmons, Fern’s son Jerry Perrier, and niece Gwen McGuire. At Mary’s request, no funeral service will be held. A private family service will take place in her memory. The family would like to express heartfelt thanks to the Palliative Care team at St. Paul’s Hospital and the staff of ward 6000 at Royal University Hospital for the wonderful care given to Mary. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the St. Paul’s Hospital Foundation or the Canadian Cancer Society.
