Rajala, Onni

Onni Elvin Rajala, 83 years, of Nipigon, Ontario passed away Sunday, October 24, 2010 in Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre, Thunder Bay, Ontario. Elvin worked as a mechanic for Wright Motors and then for Brennen Ford. Predeceased by his parents – Lyydia and Eric Rajala, by his sister Elli Jarvi and his brother Vilho; he is survived by his wife Barbara of Nipigon, his children – Lyle (& Christine) Rajala of Rossport, Ontario and Karen Rajala of Victoria, British Columbia, his grandchildren – Korri Rajala (& Marc Barrette) of Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, Garrett Hardy and Justin Hardy both of Lethbridge, Alberta and by two great grandchildren – Sophie and Jonathan Barrette. According to Elvin’s wishes, cremation has taken place. Friends may gather at the Elliott Funeral Home Ltd., Nipigon on Wednesday, October 27, 2010 at 1 P.M. where prayers will be offered by the Rev. D. Hilpert-McIlroy of St. Mary’s Anglican Church, Nipigon. Interment of cremains will be in Cliffside Cemetery, Nipigon. Friends so wishing may make donations to the Nipigon District Memorial Hospital or the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre Foundation – I.C.U. department
