Romick, John

John Steven Romick, age 83 years, resident of Roseview Manor, passed away peacefully with family by his side on Thursday, October 13th, 2011. Born on May 2nd, 1928 in Port Arthur. He was raised and educated in Thunder Bay. He was employed as a transport driver with Kingsway and retired in July 1993. He enjoyed numerous hobbies. John is survived by his loving wife Sheila, of 62 years, sisters Sylvia and Jeanette, brother George. He was predeceased by his parents, two brothers and four sisters, niece Lorrie Ellen and great niece Georgia. Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life for family and friends will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, October 20th, 2011 at St. Luke's Anglican Church, corner of Cameron and McKenzie Streets, with Reverend Holroyd officiating. Interment will be held in Mountain View Cemetery. If friends so desire, in lieu of flowers, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be greatly appreciated by the family.
