Entered into rest on November 10th, 2004 after a brief illness. Born in 1915 on the family farm in Eldon Twp. , ON. , she graduated as a nurse in 1940 from Nicholls Hospital, Peterborough. She followed Jack, the love of her life, to the prairies where he was stationed with the RCAF. They were married in Saskatoon. Following the war they returned to stay in Cannington. Known for her nursing skills and wonderful sense of humour, she spent most of her adult life helping others. Active in her community, she was a lifetime member of theWomen's Institute, Knox Presbyterian Women, The Rebecca Lodge and theRoyal Canadian Legion.predeceased by her husband Jack Nicholas William Ross.Survived by son Bill (Irene Mitchell) of Thunder Bay, daughter Margaret (Jim Yates) of Port Hope, four grandchildren Graeme and Fiona Ross & Darcy (Loni) and Clayton Yates and many nieces and nephews. She will be missed by friends across the country. Friends are invited to call at the Thorne Funeral Home in Cannington on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm.
