Mr. Theodore Rusnak, age 67 years a resident of Thunder Bay, passed away at the Thunder Bay Regional Hospital (Port Arthur General Site) on Friday, May 3rd, 2002. Born June 17th, 1934 in Port Arthur, Ontario, he was the son of the late Ivan and Annie Rusnak. Ted worked for Local 759, Iron Workers from 1955 until 1993. He was an avid gardener and enjoyed his golf games with his buddies Bill Hatley and Bob McKellar. Ted's most heartfelt feeling were often expressed through his piano and harmonica playing. Ted is survived by his step-son Stuart Gillis (Vera), brothers Dan Rusnak (Verna) of St. Catherines and Ken Rusnak (Janice) of Thunder Bay, sister Pat Caine (Paul) of Mississauga and by numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives. He will be sadly missed by his special friend Suzie Flint. He was predeceased by his wife Irene on February 14th, 1997, his father Ivan in 1989, his mother Annie in 1988 and by his sister Elsie Crawford in 1971. Funeral services for the late Theodore Rusnak will be held on Tuesday, May 7th at 11:00 a.m. in the Sargent & Son Funeral Chapel, 21 North Court Street with Canon David Bradford officiating. Inurnment will take place in the Riverside Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy the family respectully requests memorials to the Port Arthur Branch #5, Royal Canadian Legion Building Fund, the Thunder Bay Humane Society or the Northern Cancer Research Foundation. The family wish to express their sincerest thanks to Ted's dear friends Susan Lehtonen and family and to Jack Merrifield for the kindness they extended toward Ted.
