Mr. Keith (Scotty) Scott; a long time resident of Schreiber, Passed away suddenly on October 19th 2002.Scotty was born April 24, 1935 in Morden, Surrey, England, and soon after moved to Wormit, Fife, Scotland. As newlyweds, Keith & Annietraveled to Canada in 1954 and moved their young family to Schreiber from Thunder Bay soon after. In addition to serving as a constable for the Ontario Provincial Police and the Chief of Police for the Schreiber Municipal Police Force, Keith owned and operated a small business and served asthe By-Law Officer for the Township of Schreiber as well as Justice of the Peace for the Province of Ontario. Scotty was a long-time member of the Terrace Bay Masonic Lodge #662 and Lakehead Shrine Club and served as an executive member for the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #109 and was a member of the Ontario Provincial Police Veteran's Association.Keith will be sadly missed by his wife of 49yrs. Annie, daughter Sharon (Bernie), sons Keith (Rita) and Colin (Caroline) and grandchildren Nancy, Dani, Heather, Ben and Jessie. He was predeceased by his parents Keith and Jean, sister Maureen in infancy and by his granddaughter Colleen.Friends may callat the King Funeral Home in Schreiber from 7:00 pm. on Tuesday October 22nd. 2002 Funeral Services will begin from 2:00 pm.on Wednesday October 23rd. 2002 At St. Andrew's United Church in Schreiber.Cremation has taken place and interment of ashes will follow in Schreiber Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the McCausland Hospital Long Term Care Project or the Northern Cancer Research Foundation would be appreciated.
