The family announces with sorrow his sudden death at Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre on May 29, 2005 at the age of 49. Beloved husband of Martha and dearest father of: Brian of Thunder Bay, Krista of Geraldton, Erin of Longlac, Jenna of Longlac, E.T. (Ernie) of Longlac, DeeAnne of Longlac, Earle of Longlac, Charlayne of Longlac, Tyler of Longlac, and TianRae of Longlac. He is survived by his mother, Marie and by his brothers and sisters: Jocelyn (Peter) of Longlac, Joanne (Ross) of Hornepayne, Emile of Longlac, Josephine of Sault-Ste-Marie, Kenny (Beverly) of Longlac, Sandra of Longlac, Doreen of Thunder Bay, Dennis (Theresa) of Geraldton and Frank (Vanessa) of Longlac. He will be sadly missed by his 9 grandchildren: Tori, Anthony, Karissa, Ziibi, Nigig, Zoe, Alexia, Jarome and Jalen. Ernie was a family man, his wife of 30 years and children were the most important things in life. Always doing for them. He was employed with LongLake Forest Products for the past 12 ? years. He enjoyed hunting & fishing with his children, grandchildren and brothers. He was a very dedicated fan to all the boys who played hockey. A #1 fan to his sons. He would travel miles just to watch his sons play. This was his greatest love (hockey). He enjoyed halfers bingo with his daughters and anyone else. He would call his sisters, sisters-in-law and nieces to go halfers. He also enjoyed being with his many friends for a few cold ones. He was a hard working, loving man who enjoyed life to the fullest. He will be missed by all who knew him. Friends will be received at the Ginoogaming First Nation Community Complex as of 6:00pm Thursday, June 2, 2005. The funeral ceremony, officiated by Father Larry Kroker, will be held at the Ginoogaming First Nation Community Complex on Friday, June 3, 2005 at 1:00pm with cremation to follow. Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or to the Canadian Diabetes Association would be appreciated.
