Taylor, George Ferguson

Mr. George Ferguson Taylor, aged 94 years, passed away peacefully with his family at his side on Saturday, November 19, 2005. Born February 27, 1911 in Port Arthur, Ontario to Robert and Mary Taylor. George was employed with CNR for 30 years as a Conductor, retiring at age 60. His main interest was his family. He enjoyed gardening, playing chess and cribbage and was an avid Blue Jay fan. He was married on December 15, 1937 and is survived by his wife Grace (nee: Hardie); two daughters, Joyce Nystrom (Allan) and Janet Taylor; six grandchildren, Cheryl Nystrom of Montana, Murray Nystrom (Shelagh) of Welland, Hope Kempe (Larry) of Thunder Bay, Janice McElrea (Tony) of Ottawa and Jennifer Garner also of Ottawa; six great grandchildren, Danyelle and Alex Kempe, Erik and Hanna Nystrom and Daphne and Trent McElrea; two sisters Mona Berry and Mary Whiffen. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive. Predeceased by his parents Robert and Mary (Stirrett) Taylor; three brothers, Lorne, Bill and Ray and four sisters, Edith, Muriel, Ellen and Jean. Cremation has taken place and at George's request, no service will be held. Interment to take place at a later date. Memorial donations to a charity of your choice would be appreciated.
