Frances Julia Thomas (nee Gazarek) Peacefully at Chatham Hospital, surrounded by her loving family, on Wednesday January 19, 2011, in her 75th year. Beloved wife of Robert (Bob) for 56 years. She was born in Chatham, daughter of the late Frank and Frances Gazarek. She leaves behind daughters Sherry of Chatham, Christine of Kitchener; son Terry of Barrie, grandson Tyler and Laura of Barrie, great grandson Jackson; granddaughter Meagan and Tom Pacha of Ottawa; granddaughter Whitney of Barrie; son Mark of Dubai; son Randy and Takako of Vancouver and granddaughter Emi; brother Frank Gazarek of Toronto. Predeceased by sisters Mary Kukura of Sarnia and Rose Piacek of Dresden. She will also be greatly missed by friends and former customers of Fran’s Antiques in Hepworth and Thunder Bay. A family celebration of her life will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
