Vickruck, Michael William

Mr. Michael William Vickruck, age 79 years, a resident of Pinewood Court and formerly of S. Hill Street, passed away on Saturday, April 3, 2010. Born in Port Arthur, ON on September 9, 1930, Michael was a life long resident of the city. He was a member of FSNA and the Shuniah Lodge. Michael enjoyed hunting, fishing, his garden and travel. He will be lovingly remembered by his children: Dwight, Wendy and Mark, grandchildren: Andrea, Evan, Branden, Kelsey, Luke, Josh, Sarah and Rachel and his sister Alice Hawthorne. Numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive. Michael was predeceased by his parents John and Josephine Vickruck, brothers Nick and John and sister Mary. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 14, 2010 at 11:00 am in the chapel of the Sargent & Son Funeral Home, 21 N. Court Street with Rev. Lloyd Ivany presiding. A reception will be held in the Sargent Family Reception Centre immediately following the service. A private interment will be held at Riverside Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Thunder Bay Alzheimer Society, Ontario Heart & Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Diabetes Association would be appreciated.
