Mr. Luk?s 'Luke' Visy passed away peacefully at St. Joseph's Hospital on Monday, May 14, 2001 after a lengthy illness. Born in Hungary on March 27, 1922, Luke moved to Port Arthur in 1956 where he worked in the Abitibi Woodlands Division for 30 years. He is predeceased by his loving wife Mary, and survived by his daughters Anna (Al) Fredericks of Elora and Christina of Toronto, grandchildren Hellene and Matthew-Adam Fredericks, and numerous relatives and friends in Hungary. A Memorial Mass to celebrate Luke's life will take place at St. Margaret's Roman Catholic Church on Friday, May 18, 2001 at 10:30 a.m. celebrated by Fr. Ciar?n Donnelly and Fr. Ted Kennedy. Services to be complete in the Church with private family interment of cremains taking place at a later time. If friends so desire, in lieu of flowers, donations to St. Joseph's Foundation of Thunder Bay (807) 768-4440 would be appreciated by the family.
