Westlake, Kenneth Victor
Mr. Kenneth Victor Westlake, age 80 years, passed away peacefully with his family at his side in the T.B.R.H.S.C. after a lengthy illness. Ken was born in Port Arthur on November 22, 1925 and was a lifetime resident. He worked for many years as a pharmicist at various different pharmacies throughout the city. He was an avid stamp collector and a member of the Hill City Kinsmin. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife Jean with whom he celebrated over 50 years of marriage in June of this year, daughters Betty Westlake, Barb (Clyde) Raymer and Bev Westlake of Henderson, Nevada; 2 grandchildren Christina Godon and Shamus Raymer, great granddaughter Chrissy Hemington, brother-in-law Robert (Florence) McEwen of Winnipeg, sister-in-law Casie Westlake of Australia as well as by numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives. He was predeceased by his brother Frank Westlake, parents Frank and Bessie Westlake and step-mother Jane Westlake. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, August 29th at 11:00 a.m. in the Sargent & Son Funeral Chapel, 21 N. Court Street, with Rev. Peter Smyth of St. Michael & All Angels Anglican Church officiating. Interment to follow in Riverside Cemetery. Visitation for friends will be held on Monday from 6-8 p.m. in the Sargent & Son Chapel. Following the services a reception will be held in the SARGENT FAMILY RECEPTION CENTRE. As expressions of sympathy memorials to the Canadian Diabetes Association, Parkinson Society of Canada, the Alzheimer Society of Thunder Bay or the charity of your choice.
