Mr. Theodore Woitowicz age 76 years, resident of Thunder Bay, passed away peacefully into the arms of God, with his family by his side in Thunder Bay Regional Hospital, on Monday, July 02, 2001. Theodore was born in Kupnovichi, West Ukraine and immigrated to Canada after W.W. II. He worked for the Canadian National Railway for thirteen years and Great Lakes Paper Company for twenty years. After his retirement he enjoyed his home and family. Theodore was a member of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross Ukrainian Catholic Church. Predeceased by his father Theodore, mother Eva and brothers and sisters in the Ukraine. He is survived by his wife Anna, daughters Sophie (Ihor) Kozyra, Anne (Ian) Scott and Rose (Dan) Morin, grandchildren John (Lucy) Kozyra, Mark and Lorisa Kozyra, Allison and Stephen Scott and Anthony, Daniel and Christopher Morin. He is also survived nieces and nephews in Ukraine. Funeral services will be held on Thursday July 5, 2001 when friends and family will gather for Divine Liturgy at 9:00 a.m. in the Church of the Holy Cross, celebrated by Very Rev. Ivan Trush. Interment will follow in the Ukrainian Catholic Cemetery on Arthur Street. Panachyda (prayer services) will be offered on Wednesday evening in the Church of the Holy Cross at 7:00 p.m. Removal will be made from Blake Funeral Chapel prior to Panachyda time. As expressions of sympathy memorials to the Thunder Bay Regional Hospital Foundation or the Ontario Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.A tree will be planted in memory of Theodore Woitowicz in the Blake Funeral Chapel Memorial Grove.
