Woods- Mrs. Margaret Wilma Jessie Woods, (nee Campbell) a resident of Roseview Manor, previously of Sherwood Drive, passed away at her residence on December 29, 2007 with her daughter, Sharon, at her side. The care and compassion of the Roseview staff was a great support. Prior to the most recent decline in Margaret's health, she was alert and able to enjoy visits with all of her children; Sharon, Dianne and Allen. She was a caring, devoted wife, mother, grandmother and most recently a great grandmother. Margaret graduated from St. Joseph's School of Nursing, class of 44 and continued to maintain contact with her classmates until the decline of her health. It was as a young nurse that she met Cifford to whom she was married for 58 years. Clifford predeceased her March 5, 2004. They had three children; Sharon Taylor of Thunder Bay, Dianne (Bill) Parsons of White Rock, B.C. and Allen (Adela) Woods of Kansas City. Margaret is also survived by six grandchildren; Shauna Taylor (Don Ferguson), Jason Taylor (Jillian), Dr. Kim Parsons, Chris Parsons, Andrew and Maria Elena Woods. Margaret would have loved to have been able to enjoy her new great grandchildren; Kim's son William and Jason and Jillian's twin girls, Madison and Kaitlyn. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives. Margaret was an active member of Westminster United Church, later joining Knox United Church. As well as her nursing career Margaret was actively involved in the Alumni of St. Joseph's Hospital and other community volunteer work. Margaret was predeceased by her parents, husband Cliff, brothers Lorne, Carl and Don Campbell and sister Helen Revell. A Memorial Service to celebrate Margaret's life will be held on Thursday, January 3, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. in Knox United Church, 1 Shuniah Street, with Rev. David Silliman presiding. A private inurnment will take place in Sunset Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers as expressions of sympathy, donations to the Alzheimer Society of Thunder Bay would be appreciated.
