OUR Thunder Bay-Superior North MP, Patty Hajdu, put a flyer in our mailbox. In it she states: “Climate change is a real threat. We are taking action. We are putting a price on carbon pollution to encourage everyone to pollute less and make cleaner choices.”

Patty is wrong. Climate change is no threat to anybody and putting a price on carbon dioxide has no effect. There is no such thing as carbon pollution. Carbon dioxide is the stuff of life. We are breathing it out all the time and it kills nobody. The amount of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere is only about 0.05 per cent, which is not very much.

Patty should listen to scientists who teach climate science at the universities in Ottawa, like Tim Patterson, Ian Clark and retired professor Michael Hart who said: “Politicians are throwing money that they do not have, at a problem that does not exist, in order to finance solutions that make no difference.”

Patrick Moore, formerly of Greenpeace, says: “The whole climate crisis is not only fake news, it’s fake science. There is no climate crisis, there’s weather and climate all around the world, and in fact carbon dioxide is the main building block of all life.”

Climate scientists believe that the climate is controlled by the sun and the clouds, not by anything we do or fail to do. So it is just a tax grab and will only affect our wallets. But what else is new, eh?
