AS OF late, the federal Liberal Party, and particularly Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, have come under constant fire from the opposition, public and press. The SNC-Lavalin fiasco, Jody Wilson-Raybould and Jane Philpott’s expulsion from the caucus, the Daughters of the Vote turning their backs on the PM, the carbon tax mess, the prime minister’s jetting to a Florida holiday despite their call to reduce carbon emissions, $12 million given to Loblaws, (one of Canada’s richest corporations), to purchase refrigeration in order to reduce carbon emissions and who knows what next.

Despite all of this, I don’t recall one Liberal MP speaking out against the Prime Minister and his dubious actions even though many of their constituents are angered and aren’t in favour of those actions.

Having said that, I’d like to offer my suggestion to the Liberals that every Liberal meeting, henceforth, should commence with Tammy Wynette’s song, Stand By Your Man, no matter what and, as the lyrics go, “doing things that you don’t understand.”
