ENOUGH is enough. This campaign of terror at Hammarskjold High School must stop. For that is what it truly is. This action is designed to cause confusion, fear and chaos — which is precisely what terrorism is.

It is time for Thunder Bay Police Chief Sylvie Hauth to show her mettle as police chief and put her pride aside for long enough to call in outside resources to find and apprehend the person or persons responsible for this.

While I admire the work our police force does, they are spending huge resources just responding every day to shut down the school.

While we are at it, who had the demented idea to organize an information session for parents at the venue where the threats were happening? It got cancelled because of another threat. Who didn’t see that coming?

We need answers, we need timely response, and we need reassurance that our children and community are safe. We are not getting that from the current authorities in charge of this situation. Turn it over to parties that can solve it, and let’s get past this crisis.
