Beef Turnovers

Ingredients: 

1/2 or 8 ounces lean ground beef
1/2 cup finely chopped onion
1 hard cooked egg chopped
1/2 tsp. salt
Dash pepper
1/2 of an 8 ounce pkg. of cream cheese
1/2 cup butter or margarine
1 - 3/4 cup all purpose flour

In a small skillet cook beef and onion until meat is browned and onion is tender. Add egg, salt and pepper. In a small or medium size bowl cut cream cheese and butter or margarine into flour until mixture resembles fine crumbs. Press dough into a ball. Divide dough in half; roll one half to 1/8 inch thickness.Cut into 2-3/4 in rounds (Use drinking glass to cut rounds) Place about 1 tsp meat filling on each, moisten edges with water to fold over. Press to seal with floured fork to create lines around edges. Repeat cutting and filling with remaining dough. Bake on ungreased baking sheet in a 400 degree oven until golden brown. (Cook time - 12- 15 mins) Makes 3 dozen.
