Alain Sargent and Pedro Adan scored as the Thunder Bay Chill evened their record in the USL Two soccer season with a 2-1 win over host WSA Winnipeg on Friday.

The Chill improved to 2-2-1 and will face Winnipeg (0-7-1) again tonight. It will mark the fourth-straight game between these clubs.

Sargent opened the scoring in the 21st minute by converting a corner kick. Adan added to the lead before halftime. The Chill was awarded a penalty kick and in the 39th minute, Adan beat the WSA keeper.

Winnipeg added a late goal to round out the scoring.

After tonight’s game, the Chill will prepare to meet the division rival, the Des Moines Menace, at home, June 21-22. The Menace are second in the Heartland Division with a 5-0-0 record. Kaw Valley FC leads the way at 5-1-2.
