SENIOR LIBRARY CARDS – Seniors who do not live in the City of Thunder Bay now have the option of purchasing a library card with full borrowing privileges for $4 per month. In addition, the library offers a regular senior membership for non-residents for $25 a year or $45 for two seniors living at the same address. Visit any branch of the TBPL for more information.

FINNISH-CANADIAN EXPERIENCE – Come and learn about Thunder Bay‘s Finnish-Canadian experience at the annual general meeting & social, Sun., Nov. 2, 1-5 p.m., at the Finn Hall, 314 Bay St. This year‘s event will include a variety of presentations including a presentation by the Hudson‘s Bay Company Local History Grant Program. The Society will also be launching their website and the Finlandia Club and Brain Valuation & Consulting Inc. will give an update on the renovations of the Finn Hall. Michel Beaulieu of the Lakehead Social History Institute will speak on the 2010 FinnForum to be held in Thunder Bay. Presentations will be complemented by light refreshments of Finnish cuisine.
